Compression Obsession

If you need to e-mail a presentation and don't want to send a massive file, make the images smaller by selecting View > Toolbars > Picture. Click the compress Picture icon {four yellow blue arrows pointing inward at aw square}. If the recipient will be viewing the presentation online, check Web/Screen under " Change resolution" to further reduce image sizes.

A New Viewpoint

Need to view a PowerPoint presentation but don't have Office installed on your system? Head to www.microsoft.com/downloads and download Microsoft's free PowerPoint 2003 Viewer software.

Drawing a Blank

If you're pausing in your presentation and don't want the current slide displayed, you can just hit the B key to put up a blank black screen or the W key to put up a blank white screen. Just hit B or W again to return to your current slide.
