Microsoft Excel
In the Moment
To insert the current time in your spreadsheet, press Ctrl+Shift+semicolon{:}. To Record the current date, press Ctrl+semicolon.
Take It Back
To keep Excel from changing the format of the text you're inputting { like turning 7/1/04 into1-jul-04 }, type a single quote at the start of the cell {'7/1/04 }.
Image Is Everything
Paste a picture of a cell, chart, or graphic from Excel into another app by selecting it, holding down Shift, and then clicking Edit > Copy Picture.
Fit to Print
If you want to print only a certain portion of your worksheet, select the area, click File > Print Area > Set Print Area before printing.
Fickle Formatting
Want to change a row to a column or a column to a row? Select the cells, press Ctrl+C, and select the cell range where you want to paste the cells. Right-click the mouse, select Paste Special, then check Transpose.
