Internet Explorer

Easy URLs

When you are typing a URL into the address bar, just type the middle potion of the URL { for example, "cnn"}, then hit the Ctrl+Enter . Internet Explorer will automatically add "www." and ".com" to the URL.

The Big Picture

Hit the F11 key to minimize Internet Explorer's toolbars and maximize the space devoted to showing a Web site. Toggle back to the standard view by hitting F11 again.

Show Your Best Profile

Internet Explorer's Profile Assistant will save you the trouble of having to type in the same information for every new site at which you register. From the Tools menu, go to Internet Options > Content. Click the My Profile button under "Personal information," and enter the information your willing to share with Web sites.

Clean Up

Get rid of your search-term and form-filling history in Internet Explorer by going to Tools > Internet Options. Click on the Content Tab, then click AutoComplete under "Personal information." Then click Clear Forms under "Clear AutoComplete history."

Editing History

Maybe you don't want your significant other to stumble upon that certain site you visited last night. {like shopping for that gift for her/him} You can get rid of that item without deleting all of your surfing history by clicking the history icon { the one that looks like a clock } on the Internet Explorer toolbar, highlighting an individual site, then hitting the delete button.

Security Breaches

Some Ad-ware and Spyware can lower your security settings. After cleaning them out , check your security settings. Go to Internet Explorer Options > Security, then click Default Level to automatically restore safer settings, or Custom Level to tweak things yourself. Also click on the Privacy tab and adjust the settings if that has been changed too.
